TOCO67 pickleball guide: Where to Play Pickleball in the Netherlands

Where to Play Pickleball in the Netherlands

Finding a good pickleball session in the Netherlands used to take some serious searching. That is changing quickly: clubs, sports centres and local communities now organise regular play in and around Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Haarlem.

This guide focuses on places with a direct club or venue link, so you can check the latest session time, booking rules and beginner options before you travel.

Pickleball in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has one of the country’s most active pickleball communities, with organised sessions at several indoor sports halls and a growing number of dedicated courts.

Amsterdam Pickleball Players / Pickleball Holland

Pickleball Holland Amsterdam runs community sessions at multiple Amsterdam locations. The programme changes with the season, but it includes beginner-friendly options and social play for regular players. Most sessions take place on indoor sports-hall floors, so bring clean indoor court shoes and confirm the venue before setting off.

Amsterdam Racket Club

Amsterdam Racket Club has two indoor pickleball courts in its climate-controlled racket-sports hall. It is a practical option for a casual game, a group booking or players who prefer a dedicated indoor-court setting. Contact the club directly for court hire and first-time-player arrangements.

Pickleball in The Hague

DINX Pickleball at Sportcentrum Mariahoeve offers introductions for new players, social sessions, training and competitive play. This is a useful first call if you want guidance rather than simply renting a court. See our The Hague guide for the current local listing.

Pickleball in Rotterdam

Pickleball Holland Rotterdam lists organised indoor sessions at Sportcentrum Kralingen. Times can vary, so check the club’s current schedule before visiting. The Rotterdam guide is the best place to start for the local venue details.

Pickleball in Utrecht

In Utrecht, UP’25 / Pickleball Holland uses an outdoor summer location beside Sporthal De Dreef. Outdoor play is weather-dependent, so confirm the current location and attendance arrangements in advance. Find the latest details in our Utrecht guide.

Pickleball in Haarlem

Pickleball Haarlem welcomes visitors at Sportpark Ruud van der Geest. The club provides visitor information before you join, which makes it a good choice if you are new to the area or travelling with a paddle. Explore the Haarlem guide for the address and venue link.

How to choose your first session

  • New to pickleball? Look for an introduction, beginner clinic or an all-levels social session; ask whether paddles and balls are available.
  • Want to book a court? Dedicated indoor courts and racket centres usually suit private games, while sports-hall sessions are often organised by a community or club.
  • Visiting from abroad? Confirm the session time, booking requirement, surface and shoe rules directly with the organiser. Schedules can change at short notice.
